As a CPA with an individual tax practice, Celia enjoys brainstorming solutions that minimize the tax implications of dividing property. Robin Gruber, CDFA

Robin works with divorcing couples to give them the power to make informed financial decisions about each participant’s future and the future of their family as a whole. She works in tandem with other collaborative professionals and finds satisfaction in contributing to a process that embraces and enables open communication and information sharing. The result is shared post-divorce solutions from an out-of-court resolution. Robin became a financial advisor in 2001 and a CDFA in 2003, one of the first CDFA’s in the state. She completed collaborative divorce training in 2006 and continues with additional collaborative and divorce financial trainings annually.

Cynthia First, JD

Cynthia has successfully represented clients with complex financial issues as well as those with few or no assets, clients with and without children, and clients in litigation (from intake to trial and appeal) and in collaborative practice. After over 20 years practicing family law, she is convinced that the collaborative approach is the only way to represent her domestic clients, thereby ensuring that the family’s dignity is preserved and the new, transitioned family is healthy and in tact. Ms. First currently serves as Vice President of the Executive Board for King County Collaborative Law. She has also been a state-wide elected member of the Washington State Bar Association Family Law Executive Committee, is a long-time member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the King County Bar Association Family Law and Collaborative Law practice groups, and the Snohomish County Bar Association Family Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution Groups. She speaks on the issues of collaborative law with some regularity, and recently started Port Gardner Law Group to serve families in transition with collaborative, cooperative and creative problem solving services.
